Our Approach

We relate to the Pacific feminist movement with trust, kindness and integrity. With them we courageously disrupt power, we learn together, and are accountable to each other.

We practice Pacific feminist ways of working:

  • We are intentional in how we design relationships, spaces and processes, grounding in reciprocity. We meet people as humans first, and their roles organisational affiliations second.
  • We invest in being hospitable.
  • We bring care into a space.
  • We bring care to our disruption of power and our work for feminist transformation.
  • We celebrate the diverse gender-identities recognised in pre-colonial cultures across the Pacific.
  • We are generous in how we bring our contacts and knowledge to the work of PFF, looking for ways to foster the growth of contacts and knowledge.
  • We value equality in our relationships.
